To effectively fulfill the purpose, the instruction is designed to prepare the learner for employment or enable the worker to advance in employment by providing the necessary skills and related technical information within the shortest time in the following major categories:

1. Full-Time Preparatory Training is designed to prepare persons for employment in specific or closely related occupations. The full-time program is offered on a six-hour per day basis. Length of training ranges from six to eighteen months depending upon the level of training desired.
2. Supplemental Evening Training is designed to prepare persons for employment in specific or closely related occupations. The evening training is offered on a less than part-time basis.
3. Specialized Training Programs are designed to assist employed workers with upgrading skills and technical knowledge necessary to present employment.
4. Special Industrial and Public Service Programs are offered to business and industry. These classes can be conducted in the Center or place of employment of the students.
