The 1960’s counter-culture of your youth lives on at the Farm, a spiritual intentional community created in 1971 by Stephen Gaskin and 200+ of his "students" after traveling the nation in a caravan of school buses. The counter-culture "flower children" of the 1960's settled in Lewis County, Tennessee finding it to be one of the friendliest of all the places visited. The Farm is still flourishing as the "flower children" have become parents and grandparents. The Farm is home to many business and non-profit organizations, as well as a private school, community store and many beautiful natural areas. Over the last 30 years, The Farm has become well known for many things, from natural childbirth and midwifery to healthy diet and vegetarian cuisine, creative arts and alternative technologies to its partnerships and assistance to native cultures. The Farm is open daily
